Annual process

Our year-long process blends design thinking, the dual transformation approach, user experience research, and innovative pedagogies, while harnessing technological advancements. By transforming Jewish studies, we cultivate academic excellence and career readiness, empowering students with critical skills. Our ultimate goal is to make Jewish education a core pillar of personal growth, fostering both a deep Jewish identity and success in the modern world.

In ENGAJE's annual process, we work closely with the Jewish studies leaders and teams to redesign the Jewish studies learning experience for students. Our program is built to allow customization to the unique needs of each educational institution, emphasizing the development of creative thinking, enhancing the sense of belonging, and strengthening students' pride in their Jewish identity.

At the beginning of the process, participants will select strategic directions for focus—where to preserve and enhance existing content, and where to lead revolutionary innovation. Together, we will identify the key challenges the each school faces and find opportunities to improve the learning experiences.

The next phase includes developing focused and creative ideas aimed at addressing the selected challenges, with deep involvement from the educational staff. Afterward, we will build initial conceptual solutions and conduct early testing to ensure that the proposed directions fit the unique nature of the school community.

Finally, we will examine the solutions we've developed through pilots and in-depth testing to ensure that they are not only feasible but also have a significant impact on both the students and the educational staff.

Throughout the entire process, the program ensures that innovation does not come at the expense of tradition, but rather enhances and renews the way Jewish studies are perceived and taught. Our goal is to guide educators to a place where students emerge with a deep sense of belonging, Jewish pride, and the tools for academic and career success.

The process is hands-on and hybrid, offering a combination of in-person workshops and online sessions, ensuring flexibility and deep engagement with the process. Both formats encourage active participation from the educational teams, fostering collaboration and involvement in every step.
